Homeowners who are considering the possibility of introducing a change to their interior design this year should first take a look at Elle Décor’s predicted design trends for 2013. Doing so is a great way to see what is currently popular and is also a great way to get some fresh new ideas. Brass – Brass has always been a popular metal due to its rich gleam and ability to compliment other metals really well. Brass is quite versatile as well, it can be used too accent a room with its use in accessories such as lamps and bookends, or it can be used as a focus point, such as in staircase railings or pieces of furniture, such as tables and chairs.
- Emerald – Pantone recently announced Emerald Green as being their color of the year for 2013, so homeowners shouldn’t be surprised to see it become a popular element in home designs. The relaxing and natural feel of Emerald lends it well to areas such as the bathroom and bedroom, and it can be used as a way to inject color without overwhelming the area in living rooms and kitchens.
- Embellished Walls – More and more homeowners are looking to make their walls a bigger part of their interior design. They are doing this by using simple grass cloths or hand painted papers instead of the normal, single colored walls.
These are just a few of the interior design elements expected to trend throughout 2013. If you are interested in remodeling your Kansas City home to include these trends or any other ideas you may have, contact Design Build Team at 888-570-1828. Image: Elle Decor |
