Trader Joe's

Another weekend gone … hope it was a good one!!

Trader Joe’s

In case you missed it, Kansas City’s two new Trader Joe’s just opened this past Friday!

Of course, we had to check it out.

It was our first Trader Joe’s experience, believe it or not! I’m happy that Kansas City finally has the TJ’s option.

Trader Joe's

As expected on opening day, it was completely packed and chaotic! We opted not to buy anything since we would have been in line for so long, and decided a walk through would be sufficient enough for now.

Trader Joe's

My initial thoughts? Well, it’s hard to tell when there’s so many people there, ha. Many shelves were getting pretty empty due to the constant heavy traffic, and you really had to wade through people to really check things out. I’m excited to go back when it’s calmed down a little bit to really check it out.

Of course, the major bonus is that it’s cheaper than most any other health foods store!

I was a good little food blogger complete with my camera and iPhone, taking pictures, tweeting, checking in, and shooting some live footage for Tyler, my KC blogging buddy who was out of town for the big day. I felt it my official blogging duty to be there for such a memorable occasion, ha.

Craziness and all, it was fun!

What are some Trader Joe’s products that I need to try??

#1 - Rub - these were the best ribs of the four places we tried. Meaty, tender and full of flavor. Johnnys and Zard are a toss up for 2nd and 3rd. Just avoid Winslows they were tough! More...
