| Men's Fashion: Spring 2012 Dos and Don'ts |

Spring is here, and the weather is already heating up to summer-like temps! Gentlemen: Stay cool, literally and figuratively, with these tips: DO Wear less, accessorize more.
Wearing less is a must to beat the heat. But it can lead to a dull look. To maintain maximum swag in minimal clothing, stand out by going heavy on accessories such as bow ties, pocket squares, suspenders, and—always—sunglasses. It's a great way to change up your look without breaking the bank. DO Use “strategery.” Understand your fabrics.
We’re dudes. We sweat, which is fine. But being sweat-nasty, on the other hand, isn’t. This spring, use lighter fabrics such as cotton or linen so your man skin can properly breathe! A cotton or linen suit can be just as breezy as shorts and a T-shirt. Cotton is especially great because it’s durable and easy to wash. The drawback is that both cotton and linen tend to wrinkle easily. A few wrinkles aren’t a big deal for a casual look, but if you need to smooth things over try a hand steamer. For suiting, you could also try tightly woven lightweight wool. The longer the wool fiber used, the softer the finish. DON’T Ignore the rules of wearing white. DO Rock out with your socks out. What's trending this spring? Going sockless. It's comfy, easy and looks downright dandy. Remember to keep your feet and ankles clean and dry, pick the right kind of shoes (loafers or boating shoes for example, never boots), and make sure to give your kicks a breather every so often.
